For what it's worth ... don't let others bring you down. You do fabulous work and surely you know that!

I sent you an email to get your permission to use your stocks on my designs. I'm a digital scrapbook designer (for profit) and your stocks are perfect for some many things!

Keep smiling :)

Hi :)

First, I want to let you know that I love your work! I am enamored by your ornamental brushes and want to tell you how beautiful they are. I am new to deviant art (actually, I just signed up) but I wanted to let you know a little about what I do.

I'm an American photographer based out of Switzerland and I have become quite an avid book maker. I use to work with binding my own pages and creating covers from scratch, but now I am dappling into the graphic world and doing most of my work digitally. I also switched from Analog photography to digital, although I do miss the good old days of the darkroom.

Anyways, all of that to say that I have been searching all around the web to try and find very classic designs and vectors for photography books. I upload most of my work to Blurb.com and the books are available for anyone to buy. I make very little profit from what I do, so I was wondering if it would be okay to use some of your vectors in my designs. On the issue of credit, most of the time, I don't even write "Photography by Rachel Hendrix" on my work because a bride doesn't want to see that (that is my assumption). I am a professional, but I do believe that giving back and working for free is VERY rewarding and it helps me LOVE what I do.

And don't ever let anyone tell you that you aren't an artist because your a stocker. I really admire what you do.

I do have a blog that I update very often and I can give you credit there or whatever you would like. Please let me know if it is okay to use some of your designs.

Thank you for your time,
-Ray

Hello :)

LOVE YOUR WORK!!! I am planning on using some of your brushes in some recent designs of mine...I am working on some belt buckle designs for Jennifer Kent Designs (www.jenniferkentdesigns.com).

So I was wondering if I could have your permission to use your ornament brushes for some work...I don't know if she will be picking the design that I want to use it in but I would like to get your permission before I even show her the design (which she is needing these very quickly).

I also used it in a bachelorette party invite....I haven't sold any yet. if I can't get your permission I will take it down immediately :) I am planning on adding a credit line to my profile for your stock work (that is if that is okay with you!)

I create digital designs for announcements & invitations that people print off at their local photo center...they cannot edit these files, and they never get anything that I use in them! No mass production...

Thanks again for all your wonderful work!!! Love your stock!!
Steph

Hi,
I just accidentally ran into your stock and account...and, as I absolutely loved it...I was looking around for your rules when I found your message about "Stockers...not being artists" and after reading it all, I felt like I HAD to say something:
I totally hear you and feel your sadness in this matter; there are people and sometimes sites who don't really appreciate kind artists who share their work freely!
I personally think that manipulators and other artists simply wouldn't exist without stockers. Of course anybody can have their own pictures and images that they can use...but stockers have the patience and the great artistic touch to offer us so many endless possibilities. And besides that...world is such a huge place that there's always something new and interesting to shot or create and there's no possible way for us to be everywhere...!We are only humans!
I may say that manipulators and stockers complete each other, therefore they exist as artists....! And please notice that I said ARTISTS: since any work related to art, any work involving inspiration, composition and color skills....make a common person become an artist!
What you do here is absolutely amazing....so many grrrreat packs I simply can't wait to use! The level of details and the eye for colors is incredible.
And which artist doesn't need new attractive textures, shapes, brushes, patterns to make his/her work really stand out? Everybody does....! We count on stockers...we count on their neverending inspiration and passion....we count on their computer skills to make new items and photos of a very good quality....we count on their patience to gather everything and present it in a very attractive way...we count on each and every single one of YOU!
I preferred to post this comment here instead of sending you a note as I wanted everybody to be able to read this (including DA) and sleep on it if that's what it takes. And if there's still someone outhere thinking that stockers aren't artists....I have only one message for them: STOP CONSIDERING YOURSELF ARTISTS if you can't put up with competition and aknowledge the existence of other artists, for no one was ever born an artist...and the path to become one is paved with lots and lots of work and more importantly...role models to follow! And they can easily be....STOCKERS...you know!

Cheer up, girl, your work is important and don't ever think about stopping what you do!

Have a great day!
Nelly
